Latest News

The outdoor season is steadily building momentum and I'm at last spending more time outdoors than indoors either for skills coaching or for personal development. In terms of personal development, I have recently taken up sea kayaking and the coastline around Anglesey is simply awesome. I also have a course booked to becme an accredited pratittiioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) and I shall be registering for the Mountain Instructors Award (MIA) scheme. Also over the next month or so I shall be updating the website, which when complete will allow payments by PAYPAL and include a blog. When I'm not working on that, I shall be working on our open courses, which are slowly filling up so if you would like CHMAS to bring you and adventure together then I'd love to hear from you. Take care and enjoy your outdoor adventures.

Events So Far 2010

We will soon be publishing the course dates for 2010 which will include our new course 'bush craft on the move'. I will be updating the articles page with some useful hints and tips so take a look in the next few weeks.

In terms of professional development Chris is preparing for further assessments in rock climbing by way of the Mountain Instructor Award (MIA) and will soon be taking certification to become a Practitioner of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Round Up of 2009

Despite the difficult financial times this was still a busy year for us with Chris and the team running BCU 1* to 3* assessments in canoeing & kayaking, climbing and hill walking in Shropshire and further afield. The highlights of the year were many but some of the more memorable were:

  • Chris completing further bush craft and kayaking qualifications along
    with becoming an Accredited Practitioner of the Institute for Outdoor
    Learning;
  • Introducing a group of youngsters to kayaking for the first time. The
    smiles on their faces as the sun set over the lake was simply magical;
    and
  • Meeting our customers both new and old.
